This workshop is facilitated by Component
Mentor Program Member Advisory Group (CMP MAG*) Representative
Ken Robson, PMP, Nancy Berger,
Component Mentor Program Coordinator.
This workshop, the first in a series of
three interactive workshops, will familiarize leaders with the Strategic
Alignment Scorecard. This workshop will also give some background to
the history behind the introduction of Core and Extended services by
PMI.
Attendees will get to work with their
Component Mentor and other volunteer leaders to complete one section of
the Strategic Alignment Scorecard. Upon conclusion, attendees will have
gained an understanding of the Strategic Alignment Scorecard, and of how
the Strategic Alignment Scorecard relates to the Multi-Year Business
Plan and catalog of Core and Extended Services.
Attendees are encouraged to bring along to
the workshop documents from their own components that can be used to
help complete the Strategic Alignment Scorecard in the exercise sessions
i.e. Component charter, Existing business plans, Component calendar of
events etc.

provide educational events to their members. This panel discussion will
provide tools and techniques for planning and executing a “top-notch”,
repeatable workshop. Discussion will cover topics such as: 1) standard
checklists for planning the event, 2) auditioning presenters, 3) smooth
execution, 4)contingency planning, 5) capturing and incorporating
feedback to continuously improve all aspects of the events. |

This workshop is facilitated by Community Development
Member Advisory Group (CD MAG**) Representatives Michael
O'Brochta, PMP,
Mauro Sotille, PMP, & Nichole Ritz,
Community Development Planner.
This workshop, the second in this series,
will familiarize leaders with the Multi-Year Business Plan template.
Participants will work with their Component Mentor and subject matter
experts to review and apply information towards the development of a
three year community business plan.
This session will reinforce the strategic
alignment workshop, demonstrate the long-term value of developing a
business plan, and familiarize participants with the Multi-Year Business
Plan template. Upon completion, participants will have gained an
understanding of how to develop a three year business plan for their own
community and knowledge of available resources to assist in that
process.

In this interactive session,
attendees of the Strategic Alignment Planning and Reporting workshop
will have an opportunity to learn more about how Annual Reporting of
service delivery supports consistency and
growth of member value by communities worldwide. Attendees will
receive detailed information about the reporting schedule options,
submission format, content, and role of the SAS and Catalog as reporting
tools. This session
will also include updates on Shared Services and will describe recent
enhancements to the Toolkit and Catalog of Core and Extended Services. |

filings. This session is intended for small to mid-sized PMI Components
who do not have the more complex accounting requirements as larger PMI

Case Study: PMI Sweden Chapter's Experiences
& Lessons Learned Forming Branches

This interactive session will begin with a
short presentation followed by a workshop. During the presentation
portion, attendees will gain insights and lessons learned from the
establishment and highlights from the first year of operation of the PMI
Sweden Chapter's branch (formerly a LIG) for Programme Management.
Attendees will gain an understanding of how community development offers
the opportunity to transform Local Interest Groups into PMI Chapter
Branches.
The workshop will allow participants to collaboratively explore how the
branch structure in Sweden might be applied elsewhere in the PMI
community, including areas of potential cross-community (chapter)
cooperation. The findings from the group work will be presented by a
representative of each group. The session will close with the presenter
drawing conclusions. |
