Instructions and Limitations:
The following application must be submitted on or before 6:00 PM EDT 30 July 2003 to PMI Worldwide Component Affairs attention anne.jenemann@pmi.org. Applications submitted any time after this stated time would not be eligible for funding grants.
REGIONAL MENTORS: At this time, there does not exist a PMI supported separate funding mechanism to subsidize or support Regional Mentors’ travel to and from PMI Leadership Meetings. Regional Mentors will be included in the Leadership Meeting Travel Grant funding program until otherwise notified. Restrictions regarding assets, component board position and Leadership Meeting attendance will not apply to Regional Mentors.
The following guidelines and restrictions apply to all applications. Travel Grant Fund applications that do not meet the following criteria will not be eligible for funding grant monies.
Travel Grant Guidelines and Considerations:
· Component Leaders who have been listed in the PMI WCA database for the component under which they are requesting funding for less than five years will be given preferential consideration for Travel Grant Funds
· Component leaders who have not attended a Leadership Meeting within the previous calendar year will be given preferential consideration for Travel Grant Funds
· Component organizations that have not received Travel Grant Funds (or Opportunity Funds) during the previous calendar year will be given preferential consideration for Travel Grant Funds
· Based upon the amount of requests for funding and the funds received through donations, consideration will be taken should two or more applicants per one component apply
Travel Grant Restrictions:
· Applicant must be a current PMI Member
· Applicant must be a current PMI Component Board Member
· Travel Grant Funds are limited to $500 US maximum per component leader, valid for the requesting meeting only
· Components with financial assets in excess of $5000 US as reported on the Annual Charter Renewal are not eligible to receive Travel Grant Funds. This requirement does not apply to Potential Components
· Checks will be distributed in one of two ways to the Component ONLY:
1. Checks will be written out to the component for the grant and will be
issued to the recipient officer when the officer checks in on site at the
meeting registration.
2. If the component receiving the grant is currently receiving an
ACH/WireTransfer of their monthly dues, then the grant will be deposited
into the component’s bank account at the appropriate time.
